How do you reduce a photo below 200 KB?
If the application form rejects your photo due to file size, reduce it by the target KB field. File size and pixel size are different terms; check both.

Step by step
- Open the image reduce tool and select the photo.
- Select JPG or WEBP output. If a transparent background is required, consider PNG; shrinkage may be more limited.
- In the Target size field, type 200. If the form requires 200,000 bytes for sure, choose 190 for the safety margin; the tool calculates the KB value as 1024 bytes.
- Convert, check the resulting size and open the downloaded file. Compare with the pixel size in the application requirement.
Check the result
Quality and, if necessary, size are reduced to get closer to the target. Check out the fine print and facial details. This process does not mean that the official application will be accepted.
